Wisdom

A boy watched in grief as his father lay dying. His father said to him, “ Dear child, if you pursue the path of wisdom , though I die you will not be fatherless. But if you seek the ways of the foolish, even though I was alive, you would be an orphan.” Mullah Rasooli of Iran, 1876

Proverbs will teach you wisdom and self-control. You will learn what is right and honest and fair. From these an ordinary person can learn to be smart, and young people can gain knowledge and good sense. If you are already wise, you will become even wiser. Respect and obey the Lord!* This is the beginning of the wisdom. Solomon (King of Israel around 1000 B.C) Proverbs 1:2-7

Wisdom is worth more than silver; it makes you richer than gold. (Proverbs 3:14)

Search for wisdom as you would search for silver or hidden treasure. (Proverbs 2:4)
