Pay Attention: Noodles Cause Too Much Danger for Your Health

Pay Attention: These Noodles Cause Weight Gain, Alzheimer’s , Parkinson’s, And Chronic Inflammation

Nowadays, as a result of our busy lifestyles, we tend to consume a lot of instant meals. However, according to experts, these meals are far from healthy. Namely, according to Dr. B. Kuo from the Massachusetts General Hospital did an experiment in order to investigate the effect of instant noodles on the stomach and the digestive tracts. The results were shocking.

Namely, after a couple of hours, the noodles remained intact, thus, influencing the absorption of nutrients. However, these instant noodles contain no nutrients at all, but on the contrary; they have additives, like TBHQ. Additives are known to cause numerous negative effects. They’re a byproduct of the petroleum industry. They’re synthetic chemicals with antioxidant properties, but aren’t a natural antioxidant.

Additives are known to inhibit the oxidation of fats and oils and they’re added to processed foods to prolong their shelf life. Popular brands which are known to add this additive to their products are Taco Bell beans, Teddy Grahams, Red Baron frozen pizza, McDonald’s chicken nuggets, Wheat Thins crackers, Reese’s peanut butter cups, etc. Believe it or not, it’s also added to cosmetics, perfumes, pesticides, and lacquers.

At the 19th and 21st meeting of the FAO and WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives, it was determined that this additive is safe for consumption from 0 to 0.5 mg\kg of one’s body weight. The Codex commission has set the maximum limit to be 100 to 400 mg\kg, depending on the food it is added to. FDA claims that the additive mustn’t be over 0.02% in fat and oil content.

However, as A Consumer’s Dictionary of Food Additives explains, this additive may cause nausea, delirium, vomiting, tinnitus, and even collapse. Furthermore, prolonged exposure was shown to cause reproductive problems, biochemical changes, problems with the liver, and mutation from in-vitro tests in the mammalian cells.

According to another study, it has been found that women who consume instant noodles on a regular basis have an increased risk of metabolic syndrome. The people who consumed them twice per week had a 68% increased risk of this syndrome, manifested by high blood pressure, low levels of HDL cholesterol, increased number of triglycerides, and obesity. When a person experiences 3 or more of these symptoms, they have an increased risk of diabetes and cardiovascular problems. Moreover, the people who ate these noodles had decreased intake of nutrients like iron, potassium, niacin, phosphorus, calcium, and protein, unlike those who eat regular noodles.

Along with the additives, these noodles contain palm oil, wheat flour, salt, sugar, seasoning, and monosodium glutamate. All in all, regular consumption of instant noodles will certainly cause a lot of health issues with time like chronic diseases, weight gain, insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, and much more.

These noodles have a high amount of artificial ingredients, refined carbs, fructose, and sugar, and as you previously read, they’re low on fiber and nutrients.
